Acts 2 Pentecost Visual Reading Videos

Here are two versions of the Pentecost reading from Acts 2:1-21. They feature different background images and the music of the first is more reflective, whereas the second is more upbeat.

As with all the material we make available to download you can use this in church services you are livestreaming or otherwise sharing online during the 2020 lockdown.

So the words are not read???

I was thinking the same thing, Jeri. I will have my liturgist read from the screen while the video is playing. For me, the Word has to be read.

Jeri and Brenda - thanks so much for your feedback. I think we left a voice-over off so that people have the option: either a reader reads over the video (as Brenda suggests), or you invite people to read themselves.

Having a local reader read aloud adds an element of your particular community, which I like. But we will consider whether we put voice-overs on future videos like this (or have both options available). Appreciate your input.

I was initially surprised that there was no reading on the soundtrack. But I can see benefit of the local voice, or regional accent to be added "live" in the room, and supported by the sound and vision you have provided.
