In the silence Video

This is a poem we made into a motion graphics video, for Spring Harvest 2010.  It unpacks the idea that the name of God is never mentioned in the book of Esther, yet that doesn't mean he is not present.  We used it as a response in the Big Top, and got people to think of their own 'room' where they feel like God is silent.

Download the full version from the box above right (log in, right click and choose 'Save As') - there is an mpg which will play on PCs, through PowerPoint or song projection software.  Or there is a mov (Quicktime) file which will run on Macs, or on PCs with Quicktime.  Thanks to Abby Guinness for the voiceover.  The soundtrack is an instrumental version of 'May the Lord bless you' available on RESOUNDworship.org.

Sam co-leads engageworship.org with his wife Sara. He completed the LST degree in Theology, Music and Worship, and now teaches in the department two days per week. He also co-leads RESOUNDworship.org, the free worship song website, and has led musical and creative worship at events like Spring Harvest, New Wine North and the Baptist Assembly alternative stream. Their book 'How would Jesus lead worship' was published by BRF in 2009.

I was going to use this tonight at Small Group but couldnt make it full screen so was rather small for a group situation. Any ideas? I think I will use "If we stay silent" instead.

I love it Sam. Gonna use it on Sunday. Did it work best at the end of worship as part of intercession, or at the beginning? ANd congrats on the LST job. Great stuff.

I think we used it towards the end as part of the response, but I suppose it could also work at the beginning as a kind of intro to the theme. Thanks for the feedback Simon.
