Intercessory response based on Luke 18:7-8
The story of the persistent widow in Luke 18 is a great encouragement to keep crying out to God in prayer. Below, I have arranged the words slightly to create a response to these prayers, which will stir hope in our hearts. Use the words as a simple response at the end of a time of prayer, or at the end of each sections of prayers. You might, for example, pray for the world, then end with the response; pray for your nation, then end with the response; and finally pray for the local area, and then end with the response. There are standard and widescreen powerpoint slides to download above. As ever, let us know if you use this in a creative way!
Leader: Will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
All: He will see that they get justice, and quickly.
