engageworship is committed to resourcing the church with transformative, biblical and creative worship resources in every season. This is even more relevant now in lockdown. Our free #EngageAtHome daily family prayer resources are being shared hundreds of times on social media, and resources such as free videos for streaming services have proved popular. Recent feedback has included:

“Thank you for beautiful words and beautiful images and beautiful sounds - so needed in these difficult days.”

“Thank you for providing resources which have enabled us to produce on-line services which engage such a wide congregation. Your provision has made possible something I would not otherwise have attempted, and touches people in a way I could not have done.”

We will continue to produce these kinds of resources during the crisis and beyond.

NEW PROJECTS

At the same time, we want to work on larger projects, such as an Advent resource following the format of our Worship in the Wilderness material. Another person fed back:

“As we live through the Corona virus epidemic we have experienced how relevant [Worship in the Wilderness] is. It is as though it has been written just for this time… It is speaking hope into this difficult situation that we are all having to cope with."

Worship in the Waiting will include a Church Service Pack containing material for five services (including downloadable videos, songs and PowerPoints) and a Personal Devotions book with 22 daily readings during Advent.

We are also aware of families wrestling with challenging emotions during this season, and are planning a “Creative Journal” style family resource: Engage With God - Emotions. This engaging book will help mixed-age groups explore their emotions in a biblical, fun and meaningful way. It will be accompanied by family-friendly audio reflections.

It will not come as a surprise that creating these resources costs time and money. We give away as much as we can for free, and for anyone who cannot contribute at this time we want to encourage you - keep receiving!

HOW YOU CAN HELP

If you are in a position to help, we’d love you to consider it. We’ve cancelled lots of events this year, and income is down both from bookings and slower resource sales during this crisis. In order to keep resourcing the church we need help from those who can afford to do so.

Three ways you could help:

1)     Pre-order copies of Worship in the Waiting and/or our Family Emotions Resource.
2)     Sponsor part of the creation of one of these resources.
3)     Sign up to support us on a monthly basis for the next 6 months.

Our goal is to raise £8000. This could break down as:

100 people pre-order the Engage With God - Emotions resource at £6 = £600
50 people pre-order the Worship in the Waiting resources at £18 = £900
30 people support half-day writing sessions for the Emotions resource at £50 = £1500
10 people sponsor one week of Worship in the Waiting at £250 = £2500
10 people give £20 per months for 6 months = £1200
Other one-off gifts totalling = £1300

Our news email goes out to 8,000 people. We only need just over 200 people from our list to respond to make this target - could one of them be you?

A few details

engageworship is a ministry of Music and Worship Foundation CIO, a registered charity in England and Wales (number 1175280). We are overseen by a board of trustees. All the money you give (minus small PayPal fees) goes to resourcing this ministry, primarily through employing Sara and Sam to create resources, lead training and model worship ministry. Our main source of income is gifts from supporters.

If you pre-order our resources they will be sent to you as soon as they are available, we hope by October 2020. We cannot claim Gift-Aid on money from pre-ordered resources, but if you give a gift on top of that or simply sponsor the creation of a resource we can Gift-Aid this if you are a UK taxpayer and give your consent.
