This poem is based on Galatians 1:6-12. It could be used around a time of reading from the gospels, or as a reflective response to a sermon about the gospel's implication for our lives.

Extract from the poem:

This gospel,
this good news,
this life-transforming message:
Has it been made up?
Is it manufactured by people?
Contrived from a fertile imagination?

No.
This gospel,
this good news,
this life-transforming message
has come from God,
through his son Jesus,
anchored in our lives by his Holy Spirit.

This gospel,
this good news,
This life-transforming message:
Is it about pleasing others,
or playing to the crowd?
Or winning influential friends?...
