Sacrifice of Praise prayer
This is a prayer based on Hebrews 13:15-16: "Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise - the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased." It could be used either at the beginning of a service as a call to worship, or at the end as a sending-out, to worship in our everyday lives.
A jpg with the prayer is downloadable, to add to a PowerPoint or other projection software. Alternatively you could print the text in a service sheet, or simply tell the congregation their repeated line.
Let us offer a sacrifice of praise:
a sacrifice through Jesus.
Let us offer a sacrifice of praise:
a continual offering.
Let us offer a sacrifice of praise:
the fruit of lips that confess Christ's name.
Let us offer a sacrifice of praise:
doing good and sharing with others.
Let us offer a sacrifice of praise:
for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Amen.
