Open Invitation - poem
A riff on the invitation from Isaiah 55. This could work well at the beginning of a service as a call to worship or gathering prayer. It could also work as an invitation to communion.
Excerpt from the poem:
Come all who are thirsty:
all who are weary and worried.
Come all who are thirsty:
all who are bleary and bored.
Come all who are thirsty:
those who know they are spiritually poor.
Come all who are thirsty:
those who are tired of spin.
Come all who are thirsty:
those who are parched for peace.
Come all who are thirsty:
those who wrestle with themselves and their schemes...
