Good Friday Symbolic Response
We set out white tiles on the floor, with a bowl of red paint, a crown of thorns and a pair of nails.
To symbolise our gratitude and personal acknowledgement that Jesus was pierced for our transgressions, we invited people to come forward a dip their finger in the red paint and make a mark on the cross.
You could do this during a song, as a prayer station, or in silence.
Practical note: have baby wipes available for people to wipe their fingers.
