Here are two active versions of 1 Corinthians 12:12-27. The first is a simple but fun one Sara created for an outdoor Churches Together service in Luton.

She explained to the congregation that when they hear a word read, they make the following response:

  • "Part(s)" - wiggle a body part.
  • "Body" - grab the hands of two people around you (or other appropriate contact).
  • "One" - hold up pointing finger and shout "one!"
  • Any named body part - point to this part on your body.

Angela Bryan has made a more visual version which includes a PowerPoint. Download the "Church is Body" files to see how you can engage with this text in a spoken and visual way. Or combine the two ideas in a way that works for you!
