BOOKING IS NOW CLOSED. However tickets are still available on the door if you want to join us on the day. Note age restrictions below.

This Creative Retreat day is for anyone who wants to express themselves and their worship creatively, in an encouraging, inspiring and safe space. Our theme will be "Created to Create", and whether you've been creating for years or feel like you want to give it a try, there will be ideas, like-minded people and the time to get stuck in with paint, pens, words and music.

We're running three streams:

  • Music: open to any songwriters or composers
  • Words: poets, storytellers, liturgists, etc
  • Visual art: painters, drawers, sculptors, laptop artists... etc

If you're not sure what you are then feel free just to come along and see what inspires you on the day. You will need to bring along the materials you want to create with, so make sure to pack instruments, notebooks, and any portable art materials you'll want.

For this day the Engage Worship team will be joined by Rachel Wilhelm for our first official collaboration with United Adoration. This is a global organisation that hosts retreats to empower artists, and the local church, to create art that is meaningful to the communities that matter most to them… their own. United Adoration retreats invite you to join in:

CONNECTING – Discover a vibrant arts community
CREATING – A Sacred space to create and collaborate together
COMMUNING – A Sacred space to be with God

Rachel is an accomplished songwriter and a seasoned leader of creative retreats. She will open the day with an introduction, setting up a theme for our day. There will be reflection time, creative time and chances to chat and collaborate. Sara & Sam Hargreaves of Engage Worship will be helping to facilitate the day alongside Rachel.

Please note: This event is aimed at adults, and there will not be provision for creche or children's work. Those aged 15-17 will need to come with a responsible adult, and we will email you for a parental consent form.

We're being hosted by St Luke's in Leagrave, Luton. This is a 10 minute walk from Leagrave railway station, and there is plenty of parking for those who drive (3 minutes from Junction 11 of the M1).

Tickets are £15 for waged, £10 for unwaged. Your ticket price includes drinks, please bring your own packed lunch (there aren't cafes/restaurants near the church).
