Testimonies Praise

Put pens and paper under chairs/pews in your worship area before people arrive. Before you start a time of sung worship, encourage people to write down short testimonies of what God has done in their life this week (keep the pieces of paper small, and the testimonies will be short!), and drop them in a basket on the side of the platform.
After a few songs, let the band / musicians keep playing quietly as a few of you take turns reading the testimonies out. You might want to encourage clapping after each testimony.

Sara co-leads engageworship.org together with husband Sam, drawing from her experience in music, worship and youthwork. She is also a mum of two wonderful children and they all live in groovy Luton.

Thanks, I like that one a lot. Maybe even with a twist. Invite folks to draw a symbol or image on the opposite side of the paper so that when we read their testimony folks can see teh symbol that corresponds to it too...
