May the Lord bless you

Here's another resource to help you add creativity to your services and church meetings:

This is a setting of the blessing given by God to Aaron through Moses in Numbers 6. It was written to be used at the end of a service, for the congregation to sing to one another. The repeated lines at the end are optional, and give space for lyrical and musical improvisation should the mood take you. It could also be used at times of prayer ministry, to help people recieve God's grace and peace.

Sara uses a Swedish version of this blessing to sing to our daughter every bedtime; the ways and places where this song can be used are endless. Download the chord charts and sheet music from www.resoundworship.org.

May the Lord bless you,
may the Lord keep you,
may the Lord's face shine down on you
and show you grace.

May the Lord bless you,
may the Lord keep you,
may the Lord turn his face to you
and give you peace.

Optional tag:
And give you peace,
and show your grace,
and give you hope,
and show you love,
and give you peace.
