Hand Meditation

This is a powerpoint that can be used in a large congregation, but also in small groups or individually. It aids us in giving our burdens to God, and uses actions to help us focus our prayers. The powerpoint could work in the beginning of a service, as a means of 'entering in', but also as a response to a challenge to release our worries to God.

Sara co-leads engageworship.org together with husband Sam, drawing from her experience in music, worship and youthwork. She is also a mum of two wonderful children and they all live in groovy Luton.

Hi Judith, I'm sorry you can't make it work. I just downloaded it again and played it and it worked, but I'll ask Sam later to doublecheck.

A really good resource which will give instant stress relief to a lot of people. It also reminds us to pray for all those people who don't have access to a resource like this, and those who don't go to a church and especially those who don't know Jesus.

Lorraine - we did something once with a number of CD players, playing sound effects of different everyday things. We asked people to listen to them and then as they faded we projected different verses from scripture about silence, listening, God's voice etc. You could do something similar, perhaps in a more lo-tech way?
