ACTS prayer reflection

This powerpoint reflection aims to bring the ACTS prayer pneumonic into the digital age.  It is a series of slides which encourage people to first get ready to pray and then to focus on Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication (or "stuff"!).  For each section, there is a brief explanation and then some suggestions on what to pray.  The whole powerpoint is automated to scroll through the different slides and takes a few minutes to run.  The powerpoint works well with some music attached, such as the Reflective Track Worship Idea.

We've used the powerpoint as a response following a talk on prayer to a group of people, but it would work equally well for the individual looking to take a few minutes to pray in the middle of a busy day.

I've just added a version with Ariel font, as a couple of people were struggling.

Andy is training for ordained ministry in the Church of England at Cranmer Hall in Durham. He is enthusiastic about using lots of different media types to draw lots of different people into worship. He writes songs, makes videos, powerpoints and tries to bring new worshippers to appreciate old forms of worship.

We used this in church tonight, and at a training day yesterday. I really like it. I might slow some of the transitions if I use it again, to give people more space, but if you have a 3 minute window to pray this is perfect.

Love the backgrounds, font and worship prompts.
We are using this presentation on a continual loop on a creative response table as part of our prayer day. I have taken the four headings and given various ideas for different creative responses under the four headings.

We've just used this in a service about Praying with the Psalms. We broke the powerpoint up (sorry!) as introductions to the sections of the service, leading into short talks on each of the themes before spending some time actually putting it into practice. Great stuff - thanks.

Great to hear how this is being used - don't apologise for breaking it up Kieran - everything on the site is offered with the expectation people take it and use it in their own way and context. So its cool to know folks have adapted this!
